rockandroll,
Away to Cardiff, he showed this. Away to Hull, he didn't if you recall
I think that you have misunderstood a lot of people on here. Pretty much everybody feels he is a wonderful talent, one of the most skillful players ever to have graced Loftus Road. But they temper their enthusiasm, with the realisation that he still has a lot to learn and has many things which he could improve. Far too early in my opinion to start talking about him as one of our best ever players though, as he has not yet achieved anything at this level so cannot come close. Although having said that, he most certainly has the potential to be one of them. I'm pretty sure we all hope he does and won't be at all upset by it.

RnR, I believe the cultural difference you mention is what is making you see things incorrectly.
The east/west divide that you mention is incorrect.
In The UK, we do remember only too well our legends & failures; we are also sometimes too over passionate.
I don't believe anyone on here is forgetting the importance of Adel; prior to this weekends games, he had more attempts on goal than any other player in The Prem.
As DPR mentioned, Adel seemed very happy with Barton in a leadership roll in that recent interview.
I believe that you're passion for Adel at times does cloud your otherwise great footballing knowledge.
We all see QPR as a team & no 1 player is as important as our team regardless of what they have done or can do.
I have always supported most of your posts on here, so I am sure you know that I am not having a dig at you, but only trying to compensate for the head rush that you seem to be having at present.

Did you not see the following, or did you just go straight to my words of wisdom about free kicks ?
Michael229
The right decision in my opinion . We need leadership and passion on the pitch !

Adel ain't gonna like this...tough titties.

He'll be in need of a big pram tonight, with plenty of toys.

He doesn't need to be captain. He needs to prove he can play in the prem! he is no longer top dog!Last edited by paulmason; 12-09-2011, 03:36 PM.

Paul,
No need for those words mate, but you demonstrate your point well otherwise.
As for your original point, his corners and free kicks are awful in comparison to the rest of his talents, so cannot quite see the need to be so critical of your comment, other than your name is Paul Mason and should you have an opinion on Adel, it seems that it is a requirement to make it sound like something it isn't.
Hope he scores twice from a free kick tonight though and SWP heads in from one of his corners, allowing people to aim some more abuse your way.

culturely we are different hence we think different, for us we never forget someone who has done good to us and never we can be so disrespectful towards him/her. but in western culture they see people / players like toys or rejectable items. we are just different.

Respect his contribution, if nothing else.
