  • Puncheon pays to play

Anybody read Neil's column in the Independent today? Among all the other little bits he let us in on today, was the story behind signing Jason Puncheon.
Apparently NW was sat talking to SWP when he saw the sky pictures of JP entering Loftus Road.Neil siad he thought the deal was off but JP's agent told him to stay nearby.
Southampton also saw this and upped the loan fee by 25%, because no deal had been agreed and NW said no chance.Anyway bottom line Puncheon paid the extra himself so he could move to us. Hope it goes well for him.

I see a lot of fans slagging Puncheon, but he seems to have had a rough ride with Southampton. The boy did reasonably well last time out in the Prem. He's clearly got something to prove, and it seems as if he's confident he can do it.

      Good luck to the lad.
      Your mum would love me...

I am really glad we got him and looking forward to what he can do. He actually did really well for Blackpool in the prem, scoring 3 in 11. Also bear in mind he was there the second half of the season when they were stuggling to get any points as teams had wised up to them.

He will be with a better group of players this year, and has bags of pace and a good shot left or right so i think if he gets games, could prove to be a little gem and hope we secure him pernmanently in Jan if so.

Cheers for the link, need more players like that.

Vine should be doing the same with another club.

Fair play to the lad. If that's not showing commitment I don't know what is.

He could turn out to be a little gem.

Be good if he becomes another Jamie Mackie. (without the leg break obviously)

In case you're wondering, Joey's been excellent in training. He's given the whole place a lift. Adel's also looking sharp. He organised a week at a fitness place in France off his own bat.

Thats from that link....Good on Adel
