  • A new loyalty system?

I think the loyalty system needs to be looked at personally. Maybe there should be a seperate 'away loyalty' in place first before the system we have in place now kicks in.

The new 'away loyalty' system could be activated now to avoid problems come next season if we pull a big team/small allocation early on. The system would revert back to the original 'stubs' way we used to deal with these problems. Simply a point a game instead of the 'stub'.

My suggestion for next season would be:

    Away season ticket holders
    Away loyalty 15+
    Away loyalty 12+
    Away loyalty 9+
    Away loyalty 6+

Then the system currently in place.

The system would always go on the previous seasons away points total.

I find this system is a better way to make sure the fans who follow the lads around the country get first option on away tickets.

I could see a major problem with that. And it may already be already happening. Just supposing that system was in place. A group of 3-4,000 people could currently buy away tickets for every game, and then sell them back to other fans for the face value.

The sellers would always get the maximum points, while the people who bought them would get nothing. A sort of away ticket touting, do you not think? There are people here who seem to have unwanted tickets for games, so I think it's already happening now.

I have been to some away games in the last 10 years. However, they were not added to my loyalty points. I have only got 37 points (membership+ Wigan game). I hope to get-back at least points from the away games I bought throught my credit card which show my name. I guess the club can check in their system the tickets I remember being away to Sheffield Wednesday, Port Vale, Crystal Palace and Millwall. I am sure I bought those tickets online using my credit cards.

I personally think members should get a bit more points not much but more than 30.

Matty,iv been saying this for the last few years and made various posts last season on this subject. It would of happened this season if we had got a big away game early on as even if you went to all away games last season you would of been down the order for a tkt as season tkt holders would of had more loyalty points because they started from scratch which would of meant that somebody who has not been to any away games could get one before you as they had points from a home season tkt,This is why i got an away season tkt this year as i just had the feeling this could happen and also it saves the hassle of queue's for tkts.

Wouldn't matter, they never carry forward loyalty points, start at zero every season plus whatever you may buy eg: Season Ticket, ST Renewal, Membership, upgrades etc, everyone is in the same boat.
            Queens Park Rangers
            NPower Champions 2010/2011

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

I suppose so but I don't see that continuing. The interest of that would drop and they'd get burnt. Realistically the only games we'll guarantee to sell out every season will be roughly 7. There are also around 5 games where the tickets would be put on general sale straight away, so they'd be doing this all for around 7 games a season and even then it wouldn't be guaranteed they'd sell the ticket they don't want.

Exactly Webbie! I found this out last season. Due to my location it's not value in getting a season ticket so I get a membership each season, yet when it come to the crunch games last season I had no chance of a ticket, even though I'd been to 30+ games. I was miles behind with a membership loyalty points compared to a home season ticket. Don't get me wrong the home season ticket is loyal and should be recognised hence why I suggest it remains in place. Also people could say would I/others have done so many games if we were struggling, valid point but again with the above loyalty system that would counteract that problem. The system gives the fans who go away most first option on a ticket, which is only right.

I agree and yes there would of been some people that went more last season coz we were doing well but iv had know priority for tkts for travelling all over the country during the last 15 years when have been worse than sh*t at times. The club doesnt seem to look out for supporters who spend a lot of time and money following the team through thick and thin.
