Alessandro Pellicori (born 22 July 1981 in Cosenza) is an Italian footballer. He plays for U.S. Grosseto F.C., on loan from Avellino.

Pellicori started his professional carer at Cosenza then U.S. Lecce. He made his Serie A debut on 14 January 2001 against Vicenza. Lecce farmed him to various Serie C1 clubs until settled in Grosseto.

Pellicori signed for Piacenza of Serie B in summer 2006, but he was signed by Serie B rival Cesena on 31 January 2007. On 22 August 2007, he moved to newly promotion Serie B team Avellino. He scored 18 goals but could not avoid the team finished as the top of the four relegated teams.

18 goals in 38 appearances for a relegated team in serie b.. gotta say my expectations of summer signings is higher than this chaps CV..

Doubt he cost anything if you look at his stats and the club involved. Have to say, he has to be given a chance, but I do not want to sell Blackstock. If we sell Dex, we need a GURANTEED 18-20 striker at this level.

Well tbh all this about signing Simon Cox and Beckford well that would have been a risk too as they might have turned into a Billy Sharp.

The stats on this player says it approx 180 appearances and 50 goals in the lower leagues in Italy .... we need a proven goal scorer up front, not a much travelled player who has failed to make the grade!!!!

Even the most positive QPR fan would struggle to understand this purchase.

Maybe "rubbish" is a bit harsh, but we all know what we need to get promoted and this kind of player does not meet my expectations!

We are close to being a very very good side, we just need a quality striker!

If this is true and we have bought this player..... then i simply don't get it.

Earlier on this evening I watched Beckford goals on youtube, the boy looks fantastic has an eye for the goal, two great feet, pace and power......

I was thinking if we get him.... say £2 - £3m.... then we could well be in the top 2 come April!

signing this unknown striker who doesnt have a good CV, has to be a greater risk than signing a proven goal scorer who has done it in english footballer.

Beckford = Not proven at Championship level
Lita = A bad attitude.

Seriously though whoever we will sign will be a risk even those who are championship players as they may not all fit in with the team.

Again wait till you have seen the player play then make your decision.
