i would of course love to see beckham playing in our hooped shirt but there is a certain amount of circus around him where ever he goes and that could make the team lose sight of the goal this season which is to stay up!

It's in both the Mail and The Sun. As a PR person who does this kind of thing for a living, appears to be something that has been leaked by Tony F or his people: whether because they really mean it or because they want the publicity is another thing, but don;t think it is tabloid tittle tattle.

If we got Beckham he would be the best player in our team. he is probably still the best passer of the ball in world football, extremely fit in terms of stamina (not what you ladies were thinking!), would be a fantastic influence on those around him and the youngsters at the club and would be a great signing. Anyone who thinks otherwise, as mentioned above, really does not have a clue about football other than the usual terrace bullsh*t.

Why would anyone not want to sign him?, put him in the Ray Wilkins role for a season. He can spot a run and drop it on a sixpence for the strikers , makes me laugh when people say no thanks, who else could do that for the club?

Good shout, superRay got a second wind in a hoop shirt. This move would jet propel us in the far east and the USA, if he happens to perform on the pitch then all the better.
