I've just watched all the latest videos on player, I didn't realize that Rio Ferdinand was also previously on QPR's Books. Was he poached away similar to Raheem Sterling does anybody know ? Or released ?

Was he? News to me, i know he was touted around all London clubs around the age of 14, Arsenal trying desperately to sign him, but never heard of any QPR interest.

Apparently they had a rule at the time of refusing to sign players that couldnt spell their own name correctly, which was enforced in his case.
