Absolutely delighted with the SWP signing. For me if he was the only signing yesterday I wouldn't of cared because he is a quality act. Him the 3m is right then I think that's tremendous business.
I'm still unsure where we r with the puncheon deal but i'd imagine he has been brought in as a squad player. I think he could be a decent addition as he does add much needed pace to the squad. If SWP gets injured then he could be a key man.
Now to Anton Ferdinand. I won't lie to you I really wanted the Bassong deal to go through. Like Harry said Neil was disappointed about not getting him. It must be very frustrating when you have put all that effort into signing a good centre half. Anton is definitely needed but I hope we haven't paid more than 2 million. I trust Neil to actually make him into a decent player. I say make him into a decent player because I am not his biggest fan. Like Titus Bramble has all the physical attributes but concentration issue's let him down. I remember him more from his days at West ham and I was never impressed. I do hope the Steve Bruce influence has made him into a better player but only time will tell.
I think we have done terrific and none of my thoughts on Anton should put a dampener on things. We really are moving in the right direction with great owners and staff now running our football club. What a difference this month has made. We have a great chance to even finish mid table if we can afford to many injury's, onwards and upwards and COYR'S
