    Personally I think Mackie will be loaned out to a Championship side until January to regain his fitness and as such will not make the 25. I also think that if Puncheon is signed then Ephraim will miss the 25 and will be sent out on loan.

    I could see us leaving Cerny out and instead relying on an U21 player to back up our keepers, perhaps the young Italian signed yesterday.

    Don't really think Agyemang should be in there but he probably will be due to lack of options. I think Perone and Vaagen Moen will miss out too as well as the obvious ones, Shittu, Cook, Hulse, Rowlands, Vine and Borrowdale.

      If they need to name 3 keepers in the squad they leave Cerny in. Trani doesnt have to be named as part of the squad as he's under 21 - Maybe we can get away with not naming SWP in the squad for the same reason
      Don't you just love Gianni "I've never done nothing wrong for this club" Paladini..

        Nope just the pure principle that youve said cant have the 4 attacking players due to lack of tracking back. Never said were better than them pal.... "good 1 "

So who would you play then in the 2-3-1 formation, which is what NW is playing. Don't change the formation, just name the players.
                Effectively I'm saying that I don't think Puncheon will start alongside Taarabt, Wright-Phillips and Campbell/Bothroyd. We'll see who's right. As I said in my first post:

                Derry Faurlin

                    thats exactly what i thought of. we may look a bit thin on the ground striker-wise but we have taarabt and puncheon who can also be called upon to play up front.

                      No Faurlin on the bench either ?

                      That's a bit harsh on the lad!

                        No place unfortunately for Shittu, Cook and Rowlands who are all 'legends' in my eyes, but it probably looks like their better days are behind them.

                        Definitely no place for Agyemang and Hulse who are both bloody awfull!

                        And I can see both Vaagen Moen and Ephraim struggling to make the squad too.

                        Leaving the following X1 as a starting line up for the Newcastle match :

                        ================= Kenny================

                        Young========Ferdinand==Gabbidon========Traore

                        SWP========Barton=========Derry=======Taarabt

                        ==========Campbell=======Bothroyd=========

                        I suppose the trick is pleasing all the players? Taarabt I will imagine will want to play in behind the striker/s and Campbell will want to play as a central striker not out wide?

                        Something has to give, and surely we have to go with what would be for the good of the team, meaning Adel HAS to play wide left for Campbell to play as a partner for Bothroyd in a solid 4-4-2.

                        If Adel was allowed a role in behind the striker/s, who plays wide left? Smith? Puncheon? But then who do you drop? One of those in the X1 has to give way.

                        It's a conundrum for 'Sir Neil', but it certainly is a happier one now than with those two buffoons who were in charge before 'our saviour' TF.

                        Gawd bless ya Tony! Come on you R'rs!!!!!
