  • Are we all happy ?

I for one have not been as happy with QPR transfer wise in many many years.

Easy to get greedy but gotta be happy. Ideally another CB to play with Anton as still don't think we've got anyone, inc. Gabbidon whose up to it (think we should have kept Gorkks as well) and another striker e.g. Maynard but suppose theres always January.

Reasonably happy. It's still going to be a battle to stay up this season, but considering we were certainties to go down until the takeover there's not much to complain about. The fact we've been able to attract players like Barton and SWP is a testament to how hard the club has worked over the last couple of weeks. I would have liked a striker and a good centre back, but although were unfortunate with our targets in those areas at least we didn't panic buy and pay over the odds for poor players.

          Agree with all that mate.

Ideally (being greedy) a striker and another CB would have been great, but taking a step back and ignorningthe silly srumours flying around over the past week or so, can you imagine a few weeks ago being told we would sign Anton Ferdinand, Luke Young, Armand Traore, Joey Barton and SWP? We would have been extactic and, I for 1, and well chuffed with the squad we now have!

Striker wise, Jay and Bothroyd are, IMO, more than capable of keeping us up. Better pairing (albeit will rarely play them as 2 up top) than Holt & Morison or Lita & Graham (none of which have even proved themselves in PL nor even had PL experience- at least DJ has).

Starting 11 of something like the following is a very good side IMHO:

          Kenny
          Young Ferdinand Gabbidon Traore
          Derry Barton
          SWP Adel DJ
          Bothroyd

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Agree with you all more than happy with that although at one stage Bassong and Belamy looked on the cards and those 2 really would have given us strength in depth.

Great news, as said above could have done with another forward though and cb, Traore will be gone for the African nations cup so I hope Neil has made plans for his cover too.

Even tho we missed out on some players..but did we ? Did Warno really want them ?
Even if he did we know he has money for January if the need arises so really chuffed.
