Signings....!

Really pleased that we are now looking to spend a bit of dosh (at last!) but can't help feeling that some of our signings or potential signings might be a bit out of desperation which i am not blaming NW. Had Tango and Cash p*ssed of several months ago then i believe things would have been different.

Jason Puncheon.........does not make me excited
Anton Ferdinand.........can do a job but is he much better than what we have?

Would have really liked us to have got Bertrand and Sturridge from Chelsea on season long loans. Only pay percentage of wages and two quality players who would make a difference in key areas.

Not trying to be negative but just wondered what people thought??

totally agree. Warnock clearly wants puncheon...now he's got him.

Well we were desperate. We had to build half a team in about ten days. And as we have seen with Basong, trying to get players at just that slightly higher level is very, very difficult. Its easy picking up dead wood which is what we've been buying for years, but even the big clubs struggle to buy players because these guys are in demand.

spoke to a Southampton mate who told me that Puncheon would look good initially and then slip away into a squad player which sounds like a perfect QPR player!!!! :-))

Anton Ferdinand is an improvement on what we have and an experienced Prem player.

SWP is an exciting player and would be an excellent signing imo.

Jason Puncheon I'm not sure about....seems to have his doubters but Warnock has been interested for a while so he must have something about him.

Obviously we have to be massively excited about the deals the Board have done since the takeover. If we're being ultra greedy then I would like to see another defender and another striker in as well but it's already a massive improvement on where we were a couple of weeks back.

Barton & Young were very shrewd. SWP would be too.

Can't ask for more than what they're doing for us. Crouch would have been nice but too much money. Bassong would have been fantastic but just didn't work out unfortunately.

We were left will very little time and our aim this season is still 4th from bottom as far as I'm concerned.

Im overjoyed. Weve replaced the defence with proven PL players. Warnock has wanted Puncheon all summer, Barton and SWP are two players i never imangined we would be able to attract.

We have seen a big improvement in last week but will it be enough? I'm worried about getting enough goals with our frontline

At the end of the day if we don't get anyone else I am just grateful we were at least trying.A few weeks ago we would have given anything for who we have signed already.
