  • Crouch on loan

He won't go to Sunderland or Stoke as his wife wants to stay in London. Harry wants him off Spurs books and we won't pay the £10million Sunderland have offered although Spurs don't rate him at that valuation. Wait for a very very late deal 9pm onwards where we'll try and take him on loan for the season covering his contract.

Only relaying what I've been told.

So is it a fact that we haven't bid £10M then? I'm starting to lose track and can't sort the fact from the fiction

I doubt we've gone in wit a 10m bid for him, in my opinion thats too much for him.Redknapp knows both us and Sunderland have a bit of money to spend so is trying his luck to get as much as possible for him- its a good sign that we're not biting and paying whatever anyone asks.

The bottom line is they now have Adebayor, which really means no space for Crouch. Think a loan move to us is the most likely outcome, but as Dazzer said it will be a late one if it happens

        Loan most viable option imo.

I can't see spurs having that, they won't want to miss out on the transfer fee...

            Be nice though

Would be great if we could get crouch on a loan but on a season or half season month loans are pointless!! U R'S!!!!!!

ssn said we weren't dealing if it was £10m, but the odds on him coming to us are dropping steadily. loan sounds like a possibility...

speaking of 'arry, any truth in bassong?

Stoke and Sunderland have made offers but he's not interested. Spurs will only get a fee for him if someone 1) stumps up the money and 2) Crouch agrees to the move. They would rather have his wages off their wage bill, have him playing to keep him in the shop window, but still retain his services for a possible future fee that keep hold of him and not give him a squad number so he doesn't play until January.

Guardian reporting that Crouch will go to either Stoke or Sunderland, they are usually very reliable too. Looks like we're out of the running on this one

Sky reported we're not interested at £10m+.

Yeah but Crouch doesn't have to leave. Could sit there on his wages

He doesn'nt seem like the sort of player that would do that, it would end any chances he had of making the Euro 2012 squad too.

Also just read that Tottenham have 29 players in their squad. If they were to bring in 2 today as is being reported that would mean they would be 6 players over the 25 man squad limit. So really the more signings Spurs make the better our chances of getting Crouch on a cheeky last minute loan deal.

Harry loves Crouch. No way Harry wants him to go but space needs to be made.
