  • QPR Hope to Bring Man United Striker Michael Owen In On Loan Deal

QPR boss Neil Warnock will attempt to persuade Sir Alex Ferguson to loan the West London club Michael Owen on a season long loan deal. The Loftus Road boss is keen to beef up his attacking options and hopes that the great form shown by youngster Danny Welbeck will convince the Old Trafford boss to allow the former England man to move in order to get some match needed first team action

I doubt it, and I bet many will turn their nose up. Past it, over-rated, etc.

Either way, I'd live him here.

Great in his day, now sadly too injury prone
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

          2015/2016, average at best.....

          2016/2017, same old, same old....

          2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Would love to have him here - when he has played for Utd he has done very well, and I think he still has a great goals per game ratio?

            Would definatley be worth it.

Owen would be a fantastic loan but that ain't gonna happen. He'd rather stay up north near his horses

I thought about this today after that qblock/Scott twitter thread. But don't think Owen would move down South , especially for us . Would prefer this than spunking £10m on Crouchy

To add...only on loan. Not worth a gamble to sign as his wages would be ridiculous.

                      Would love this to happen!

Maybe my tweeting to Fernandes, Bhatia and Beard got through to one of them

Unfortunately, I don't think it's gonna happen. Owen's happy at United, gets to win trophies, play against top sides, play with quality players etc. And Ferguson's happy to have him. Not gonna happen, hope I'm so wrong.

Owen would not want to play at QPR - he would rather sit on the bench than play football, which is why he went to United.

Two problems a) caughtoffside is worse than tribal football and b) which proves a, is Warnock and SAF don't deal with each other since NW's criticism of SAF selection policy on the last day of the season which saw SU go down and Tevez and WHU stay up - I'll eat my hat if SAF does anything for us whilst NW is in charge.

Joey Barton & Michael Owen are good mate right so he might fancy it but I think Michael Owen is on a year rolling contract at Man Utd so it would not make sense if Man Utd let him come to Qpr on loan for a year!
