I would be dissapointed if we wasted £10m on Crouch purely on sentiment.

He is not a goal scorer, which is what we need. He is slow, has an incredibly weak shot and poor record at club level in recent years. He's not actually that good in the air considering his height because he is lightweight. Compare him to Sir Les in the air for example, and it's chalk and cheese. So for £10m you are having a laugh.

Not to mention the defence might revert ot a long ball game as it's an easy option more often than not, bypassing the midfield which is our strong point.

If we were to splash the cash in that way there must be better and more exciting options available. Blimey Van Der Vaart only cost £8m FFS.
