  • The LSA is a good organisation and that letter
was fine. I feel that they should have linked with qpr1st, OSC and fanzines to agrea a united voice over the ticket prices etc. Appart from that they have always been at the heart of rangers support.

    • Steve, thanks for your reply.

All I ever said was that I thought that letter was worded a little poorly, almost implying that TF KNOW he is just a custodian and came across almost like the LSA have given their approval, when in reality I doubt he even knows who any of the groups are just yet.

Now obviously there is a tight knit group there and gosh we have some sensetive souls on here, but I just wanted to put a point across that I didnt think it was worded as best it could have.

I didnt realise critisising a letter would cause such an uproar amongst LSA members and WATRB's "do-gooders".

Thanks for your words though Steve, at least you've told me a little about the organistaion etc.

I imagine it was because of the way you came across in your OP:

Mr Fernandes and Mr Bhattia I trust you fully with our club, and don't let these busy, self important groups try to impose their non existent power onto you.
Speaking of "poorly worded", perhaps they could level the same accusation to you.

        • Jeffro - I have no connection with LSA and therefore have no reason to defend them. But you did not simply suggest it was poorly worded you, said it was "patronising" & "self-absorbed". You also clearly implied, without posting a link or copy of the text, that the LSA are making a statement that they speak for all QPR fans. I can't see any such statement in the letter.

You also said "Who the f@ck do they think they are?"

You then described the LSA as "busy" and "self important" - which really is incredible seeing as you make it in a statement addressed to Mr Fernandes and Mr Bhattia. How ironic. Do you think they listen to you?

I am sure you are not a petty person, but your OP came accross like that IMHO.

You can't really compare a forum post to a written letter to the new majority shareholder of the club though, slight difference there.

we used to meet the club regularly but flav and bern probably dried them up but we would hope to meet the club asap to GET BEHIND THEM.
the LSA does have a voice within the qpr community, just as the osc do and some other fan groups and fanzines, watrbs has a large community and can be a lively mbm but i can't see why anyone is upset with a pretty welcoming open letter, feel free to join and demand an egm or attend our agm, raise your concerns, others have.

i am a committee member that assists with the travel, i am a life member paying £50 to do so, i was one of the first to join up and went onto the pitch v man city to protest at talk of mergers with FULHAM, would you be supporting FULHAM PARK RANGERS now without that protest?
i am not saying the lsa is always right but do feel loyal to them and qpr in general.
the letter was taken either from the lsa mb or from the lsa facebook page for your info.
The meetings dried up because 'the club' wanted all communication with the fans to go through the OSC, The LSA weren't happy about that but that was the clubs decision. Flav and Bern were hardly liked and nor was Ali Russell leading to a breakdown of trust both ways. It would be good to get to a point where the fans have a voice but this will never be a single voice as OneQPR showed we are anything but.
For what its worth the letter does seem to me to be telling TF a few things but then after what we've been through for the last few decades perhaps he needs to be reminded that money can't buy you love.

                • So its not just me, quite a few people on here agree the letter was worded incorrectly and could have been more welcoming.

And many on here think it was fine. But I still fail to see how a non-member is getting so worked up by a letter which doesn't affect them

This is going to be the best couple of days for Rangers for many a year and all you want to do is keep trying to make this thread going.

You've made your point and to be honest many on here are getting bored of it. Me included!

If you are that aggrieved and want to raise your concerns as some have said on here, you can meet John Reid in person and you can talk all day to him about the wording of the letter. You've dug yourself a hole and it's just getting bigger!

Now let's draw a line on it. We may even get a new centre back today to partner your beloved Fitz 'always injured' Hall

                      Seems patronising must be catching.

If you wanted me to not post on this thread anymore why all the digs?
                      Thats it from me anyway.

                          • i suppose the lsa could have proposed lynch mobs, the odd crucifixion and setting fire to property...would that have changed things?
                            or been pretentious lol!!!

my point about meets with the club was to illustrate we are recognised by the club until the idea, all fan grps meet with osc, which few agreed with....i don't think the osc were too happy.
this season will need ALL qpr fans to be together as qprfc try to establish a prem lge status and develop a "legacy"/future .
