Done in an depth report which took me an hour, then I deleted the wrong one by mistake!!
So, to avoid having to do it again.
The game
I felt perone started particularly nervously though as game went on he looked assured, though the second goal took a wicked deflection off him.
We were very unlucky not score today, having hit the post twice and crossbar once. Also, we saw Derry with a rare shot from 25 yards which was well saved by Ali Al Habsi
Ageymang huffed and puffed. If he could shoot as well as he closes down defenders, we'd have a decent striker.
When chips are down not sure Taarabt shows any captaincy instincts, instead waves arms in the air and clearly shows his frustration that he is not getting the ball. On the positive side, his curling shot in the first half was class and he was unlucky with a deflected free-kick on half time.
Gabbidon played well at right back and Hall suffered an injury before half time, which made him severely restricted after. Buzsacky finds space really well in midfield, though sometimes is let down by his passing and faurlin and Derry continue to do a job well.
Wigan always had more pace than us and did look dangerous on the break. Watson is a much better player than he ever was when he played for us.
Rodellga was different class for them and I felt Emmerson Boyce had a good game. The Goals were struck well, though particularly the second took a wicked deflection. Warnock said to follow his lottery nuumbers for tonight, which was a bit tongue in cheek as I felt the first goal was pretty decent.
We matched them in the first half, though second half felt we never went at them, especially when we went 2-0 down. Though its fair to say the last 5 minutes when it was far too late, we started to play.
Warnock indicated in his press conferenc, 4 more new signings. Possibily 6 altogether and one was coming for a "scan" on Monday. Might get a last minute deal in on Wednesday. He indicated that he needed a player like Barton, though never expected him to sign for QPR. Feels he has the ability to play for one of the top four clubs in the country He did say he loved the support he was getting from Tony Fernandes and Amit Bhatia and re-affirmed season starts at home to Newcastle United.
He did expect the deal for Luke Young done in time for the Saturday game as he really needed a right back, though someone in admin had not confirmed the deal in time. (words to those effect)
