For me he has to be the one to miss out when JB makes his debut.

Shame. I was the one at my work saying watch out for this kid he's going to be a revelation in the Prem, will be snapped up by a bigger club etc.
Shaun Derry looks unstoppable at the moment whereas Ali is either good as last week or terrible as he was today and Bolton.

He'll come good eventually but struggling for me

I'd still pick him as a defender over Connolly or striker over Dave though!
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Way to slow when we are being outplayed on the break. But i think he will learn how too compensate for his lack of speed quite soonish. A very intelligent player.

Im amazed quite a few are having a pop at him. He will grow into the premier league im sure of that. True he lacks pace but thats not his game. He's a ball player like Don Masson, Hoddle, Wilkins, Tony Currie, Beckham, Scholes etc. Not for 1 minute am i saying he is anywhere near as good as those players but thats what his game is about. His passing was not sharp enough today but after about 60 minutes he did start to play a lot better. Up to that point his passing was too slow. The trouble he has with PA upfront is that you can't ping a ball into him cos he will lose control. When we have someone else upfront it will be different.

He will adapt and he needs to build his upper body strength up and become more positionally aware but i really do believe in him. Derry aint quick but he has terrific positional sense which Ali needs to learn.

He struggled the first few games he played in the championship too. He will come good.
