To be fair to weare, mellow and swanley, we were all constantly disappointed by the previous regime so.its not surprising that people found it hard to believe we could even come close to signing a player like Barton. The current board had done nothing before today but talk the talk. now they've walked the walk and I think we can all start to believe that fernandes is serious about backing sir Neil.

By nature I am generally quite philosophical and optimistic (amazingly, as people who know my life would tell you), but I got excited by BE and FB coming on board and the disappointments which followed (until NW turned up) were huge -- so I won't get carried away with anything until it's 100% certain -- and that's nothing for me to be ashamed about.
