Yeah, I've been there on the train and coach. There's a bus from the station to the ground. No where really to drink near the ground apart from the boozer in the power league place. Remember them bricking the coach on the way back to the station.

Coach wise it's fine. It's like most of these new grounds with a cage outside where you can park. Remember one time up there it was pretty mental up there for about 10 mins with all sorts being thrown over. To be honest, the locals don't have much to do so need to left of their energy this way. It's one of the most deprived places in the country. The city of Stoke is a khaki, but our record up there is not the worst. Pretty cold as well! To be honest I hate all trips up north and we've got a lot this season!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Guy called Lindsay is the Disabled Liaison Officer at Stoke. Really, really nice fella who will be able to answer your questions. Stoke had some problems with their disabled access and viewing platforms at the Brittania but these were sorted out last season and should now be excellent. 01782 592271

It's a huge long schlep from the station to the ground and we've had huge problems there before with their knuckleheads stoning our buses in years gone by. Always cold too. Not a favourite by any means.

OK Nodge I'll give him a bell tomorrow and see what he says. I worry cos if anything does kick off, one nudge and I'm on the floor defenceless. I'll take his advice.

Many, many years ago I went to uni Stoke way (keele). Parts of Staffordshire have some lovely parts and you shouldn't be put off as it would be a fine place to holiday with it's history etc. Parts of it are clearly run down but no different to any other part of england. For three years I spent in the area I never had any trouble from the locals and never heard anyone else have any, which is amazing considering I was a working class kid from West London. The Potters were on the whole down to earth and loved their football.
Remember some of my mates went to a stoke v port vale game and said they've never sh&t themselves more.
As with all clubs up and down the land, you need to take care wearing colours post match (apart from Watford).
I do like the area. Give it a try IMHO.

I live near Southampton. Brought up in Ealing hence I'm a Rangers fan since the 70's.

It would be good to meet up at Stoke or another away game that you may attend
