Barton is one of the best midfielders in England. He maybe annoying me right now but so did Taarabt before he signed!Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Calm down some of you are like a bunch of excitable school girls. If we were going for up and coming Championship players of course they would jump at the chance, but we are going for a top player. Of course he is not going to be overly enthused about coming to us, anymore than Kaspers sounded about going to Reading - however you package it, it is a step down. Those who are saying "typical QPR", what exactly have QPR done wrong or should have done differently in this transfer? Nasri, Fabregas, no big transfer is easy and we are a club who many have as favourites to go down. I think its great we are even in the hunt for players like this. I bet some of you who are moaning now were the very ones who were throwing their toys out of the pram that we might have signed the likes of Puncheon. The club really can't win with some fans. You seriously need to get a grip.

Lot of over reaction here.
It's understandable he is reticent of leaving some where he loves (and NU are a great club in many respects). However, the majority of people have a tendency to mentally 'move on' (no pun intended actually!) once they actually make a decision. I think if he makes a decision to come to QPR, he is the sort of guy that is going to focus and give 100%. I believe he still has belief that he can play for the national side, and a desire to do so - if that's true - he will be giving it his all in the blue and white hooped shirt.
Obviously, he doesn't have too long to make a decision. And maybe he is holding out for a bigger club offer - but if he doesn't get it and he decides to join QPR - I'm not concerned about a lack of focus.

Pretty condescending post from you to be honest..
we have 6 days to tie up one of the most important parts of our clubs history, and we have a player who's heart is clearly not in it. We know this due to his honesty and twitter etc.
He isnt wanted by his current club; NO OTHER club has made a bid at all, and we have offered him in region if believed of 60-80k a week and a chance to play for a manager who wants him
To be honest I think you need to take a step back and accept that other fans have different views to your great self rather than calling people school girls and asking them to "get a grip"

Does make you wonder, doesn't it?
When was the last time that QPR were even seriously linked with a top player ?
One who has spent years playing at the highest level and for huge clubs?
