The thing is, he may be skeptical about joining but I assure you once (if) he pulls on the QPR shirt he'll give 100% to the cause.

I cant be the only 1 thinking the longer this goes on the less likely he is to sign? ....

I'd rather he came of his own accord after a period of reflection than he signs because he has to or because he's being pressured by his agent. That way he's here because he wants to be, his choice.

In some ways I admire his honesty - 3 or 4 days ago QPR probably wasn't even on his radar. Only thing is he can't have too long to think it over.

if he comes great, if not ah well. at the end of the day at least for once we cant fault the club and shows they are tracking very good players not just mediocre players.

He's led us a merry old dance though. Not sure there have been too many players who have completed medicals only to get cold feet after.

I think he will regret it,if he does'nt sign. This club is on the runway, Revving up ready to take off, and he could be here with us from the start, and become easily as big a hero, idolised, and loved here as on Tyneside. What happens next year once his contract is up ? They'll just let him go, and our offer might not be there anymore.Having said all that I would rather he gave it serious thought now, than turn around in 6 months time and say he's not happy. We only want him if he wants us.

Totally agree.Where is all this anger from QPR fans coming from? To be fair we seem to be acting like spoilt brats.

I think we need to have a reality check as well, as this is going to happen to a few more players that we have targeted.

Dare I say it, but we seem to be acting like Chelsate fans.If it happens then we have pulled off a big coup footballing wise.If it doesn't, then we have made the effort and have to move on.

At the moment, we are still a relegation favourite for this year.If barton signs 3 year contract, he could be looking at the twilight of his years in the CCC (maybe)The flip side, is that we are at the start of a new dawn at QPR..If he signs, he might encourage others to and maybe then turn us into a side that might be battling mid table.

Patience.....we should have loads by now

Calm down everyone, he only came down last night on the train, it is a multi million pound deal and he will have to uproot so it is a big decision for any player.

                            Bingo.

                            Same as ANY player.
We've made him a great offer. If he turns us down then I don't want him, for that reason.

If he decides to have a proper think, and then joins us... great.
                            No lose situation for me.

No idea what family commitments he has etc etc... Does he want to be the big fish in a small pond here or a middling fish in a bigger pond elsewehere?

Would assume we've put some form of deadline on this otherwise we move on. Only 6 days left of the window.
His girlfriend is 5 months pregnant so unlikely to be keen on a move to London.

Would be amazed if his agent hasn't rung Steve Bruce's phone off the hook.
