Just listened to it again...he also said that Joey is very confident he can do well for QPR.

Names like that weren't exactly impossible before, but they seem a lot more realistic if this one really does come off. Wheni swithched the tv off last night, I fully expected to see him having a medical at Villa or something.
My morning glory didn't go to waste, today.
Onouha - Very likely as failed to make City squad in either of opening matches and Toure has returned to training meaning even less chance of appearing for them
Bassong - Possible but was on the bench against United. However King and Gallas are still to return which would make him 5th choice.
Traore - Possible bench last night but not picked ahead of Jenkinson and Gibbs to return shortly and never really been given a look in by Arsene.
Simpson - Doubtful (but would have said the same about JB) Played against Sunderland and Arsenal (but so did JB) and contract expires in 2013 so Newcastle could hold out a bit for him
Bertrand - Doubtful (but would have said the same about JB) as Chelsea lack home grown players required to be named in 25 man squad. The stupid rule allows you to name a player and subsequently send that player out on loan after September 1st but the player must be registered to the club at the time of naming the 25. With the likes of Borini and Mancienne having now left Chelsea they have a lack of home grown players in their squad.

I dont think they have a problem with the home grown players rule as far as I am aware, as to qualify as home grown, a player will: "have had to be registered for at least three seasons at an English or Welsh club between the ages of 16 and 21". A club needs 8 of these; Chelsea already have Lampard, Terry, Turnball, McEachran, Cole, Sturridge, van Aanholt and Kakuta (the latter 2 have been at Chelsea since 2007).
Not saying that this means we will get Bertrand obviously, but simply that the homegrown players rule shouldnt be any reason we wont get him. IMO, I would love Bertrand to come asm, the few times Ive seen him play for England u21s he has looked a player of some potential! You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
