  • just a few words of caution....

and dont get me wrong i am loving all the postive vibes coming from the club.... but where is all the money coming from all of a sudden?

That's what I asked earlier in the week. Fernandes is only worth about 300 million so can't seem spending a third of his wealth on us, plus a lot his money his tied up in his businesses.

I reckon the Mittals are stumping up a fair bit. They just want to be seen to own a smaller share holding. They want a low profile.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

It's worth bearing in mind that it may not just be Tony Fernandes, from what I can gather from the press releases regarding the takeover he is heading a group of Malaysian business men. We have no idea how deep their pockets are.

Also just cos Wikipedia says he is worth 300m, doesn't mean that is his actual net wealth. He could have all sorts of investments that he has not made public and there is no paper trail for.

Tony Fernandes has promised that the club we be far more transparent and as such I am not concerned at all!

All of the sky money went on covering our debts. That's what we were told by the itkers during the summer.

Makes sense as it allowed the club to be sold more or less debt free.

If Tony's recorded wealth is 300m he is prob worth 3 times that. He also mentioned another money man working alongside, Mittals were always happy to invest as I understood if they could agree on the running of the club.

                          These are great times

There was something on the offy about another Malaysian buisnessman being involved just after the announcement of Tony's takeover.

Definately more investors than just Tony.

Somewhere, far, far away...Flavio is putting money into the club and making us think we're getting Barton, Parker, SWP etc..but really we will get an old italian man from the 1998 world cup...
