It wasn't specifically you I was calling a doom monger Morris, it was a general comment that any good news is never universally accepted on here.

      Fair enough.

And I agree, you can't please everybody. Some people would even be dissapointed at the signing of Barton no doubt.

A great player but I am a bit worried about the attention he seems to attract.

Well they have reduced them and I have to say its pretty fair don't you think

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

As a season ticket holder, I'm delighted that I'll be getting a refund and I'm very pleased with the way the club's going at the moment. I waved goodbye to the money when I bought the season ticket, so whatever I get back feels like something for nothing. I also think it's fantastic to give free tickets for under 8s and it makes a lot of sense to introduce Category C pricing to avoid a half empty ground.

But, all that said, I don't know how it can be denied that it is still too expensive to watch a game of football. It's all very well to say that it's a business. But it's not like choosing between Daz and Persil. We can't just go down the road to watch Fulham because it's cheaper and they're a better team. And everyone involved knows it.

There are more than enough of us on here that are 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even further removed generations of R's to know that the biggest and best thing about Rangers is our identity as a family club, respected and loved for being "for the fans". The T&C generation raped us of that with the boutique intention and TF, despite being a rich man and (potentially) another play boy with a new toy, has, in one week wiped all that pain away with great words and has now put his money where his mouth is with a huge statement of intention.
This "gesture" for want of a better word is going to cost real hard cash and is something that should be celebrated for its intention, not picked holes in and causative of the fresh moan fest we see today.
Seemed a shame to let such wise sentiments be hidden away.

Saved me typing them out too as I agree with every word.

Oh and Matty, stop causing trouble!!

Sorry Brighton, but im stuck for ideas and dont know what else to do with meself, being on my school holidays and all that!
With regards Bluehoops post though (which i have to admit was carcking ) couldtn agree mate, ive only been around since Sept '90 but in that small time this is, without a doubt, the most exciting time ive had at Rangers and i cant wait to enjoy it

well done to QPR. They should be applauded.

The reductions are far bigger than I thought - Cat C Prem Game for £25.....that is better than I thought it would be.

I just want to congratulate the club and new owners for this. As someone pointed out above, they did not have to do this.

I am no longer surprised that some people will still moan though. Even if we were offered money to attend, some on here would say it wasn't enough!

                            Great news.

Still slightly worried that the maths just don't add up. A huge loss just grew a bit more and somewhere down the line, someone has to pay up for that loss. Unless of course Tony and Amit have plans down the line for stadium naming rights, huge shirt deal or, of course, just writing the whole thing off a la Citeh.

                            To be applauded though.

                            Yours,

Oscar the Grouch with his half empty can of beer.
