        Can't see it happening.

He's bound to have a ruck with Tarabat on the pitch at some stage if he signs.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

          Reason:

Barton on a free I think is fantastic if it comes off. Better than £8million on Parker which can be used in other areas
Only one of the voices in my head is crazy...

Sky Sports sources understand that Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton has been given permission to open talks with QPR.

In talks now, not just permission to talk. Wonder how much he would ask for, 50k pw?

                      We don't play with wingers.

Probably, but if the likes of him help us establish ourselve, then it's worth it. We can't go paying more than that, though.

If the club ever want to really progress then they will have to start paying the going rate.

Probably about that mate with a high 6 figure signing on fee to make up for the fact we didnt have to pay a transfer fee for him. Needs to be done though, to compete with the big boys in the big league we needa pay big money.

                              Alright Pedro.

                              Right attacking midfield then.....

Agreed, but £50k is more than ample to attract a class calibre of player to us. If we cement our place, then move to a bigger ground, then we can look at paying a higher wage. It's not worth the risk when we are barely covering costs as it is.
