As I understand it he can't sign for anybody just yet until Hull relinquish his registration. But might they deliberately wait until the end of the transfer window to scuper his chances of finding a club? Or if a player is no longer contracted to a club would we be free to sign him outside the transfer window? My hunch would be he or Jenas is our most likely centre midfield signing.

He would be a free agent once they cancelled his registration, so would be free to sign for anyone outside the window.
