    Murphy
    ehmer Gorkks Shittu peroni

    ephraim Rowlands buzz cook

    helguson german

only reason for Buzz is i think he needs more match practice, no one else from Saturday involved. stick a bit of class on the bench in case we need it
    Thoughts?
Why do you feel this why about the only bloody cup we have ever won!

Well if Warnock has said he wants Tarabat to get more match practice then I think the team will be:

      1. Murphy (rest Paddy)
      2. Orr (no other option)
      3. Connolly( Borrowdale out of the picture)
      4. Perone (test him out)
      5. Shittu (Gorks hasn't featured so must be being sold)
      6. Hogan (needs match practice)
      7. Rowlands (no other options for centre mid)
      8. Cook (no other options)
      9. Tarabat (needs match practice)
      10. Bruno Andrade (good chance to test him and looks good)
      11. Boothroyd (needs match practice)
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Agree with merry, pointless competition and just play the reserves. Sat game against wigan is huge and these r the games we will need to take pts from. I'd like a new signing 2 aid us before it. Just watched man u beat spurs 3.0 and I won't lie 2 u. They were a joy 2 watch as I love quality football and they will win the league this season. I would be happy if we can keep it under 5 at old trafford so it just highlights how huge wigan is
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I cant get my head around playing weakened teams, not caring if we loose and disrespecting a route to play European football, I bet Birmingham fans enjoy their travels this season, as did Fulham fans last season. Play a strong team to win, then rest key players and take the momentum to Wigan. We are playing 6 fewer games this season, so they won't exactly be tired.

It only deserves contempt from us as our only goal this season is survival. It's crucial for our development. If any cup run hindered our route to survival I for one would be gutted.Maybe contempt is the wrong word but should be zero rated. As for devaluing our history. The competition has nowhere the stature it had when we won it. Footballs changed and the prem is the bee all and end all.Saying that I will be there tonight roaring the boys to victory, just not the boys playing saturday

Like many here, I'd be very tempted to give Adel 50 minutes. Get some fitness and some confidence

This is what I would like to see tonight. Playing players that need to play, players being allowed to show what they can do (NW's words) and protecting those the need wrapping up.

                          --------------- Kenny --------------
Orr - Shittu - Gabbidon- Connolly
                          -------- PVM --------- Faurlin -------
                          Campbell ------ Tarrabt ------ Cook
                          ------------- Bothroyd -------------

Wouldn't you give DJ and Bothroyd time to fully recover from the virus?

If they are not fit or well enough to play, of course, but if they are fit, I would play them both, hopefully to get a goal or two each then bring on Hewitt and Heider to have a go. The back five need to establish an understanding, Tarrabt needs minutes and Faurlin needs fine tuning.

Like I said before I want to win this cup !
And hopefully tonight NW plays a strong side to start with so we can get a couple of goals lead and then take our best players off
