  • Wow I've missed a lot!

The missus booked a last minute holiday which I've only just come back from meaning I've missed the opening two matches, the takeover and well, what else?

Haven't seen any highlights yet so how have we looked? Clean sheet one match but let four in the previous one??? Only scored 1 goal so are we creating much? How's Adel playing? What's the mood been like with big defeat followed by win? How has the takeover changed things - Warnock got money to spend?

I've got a lot of catching up to do so please help with some details...

Wasn't it quite warm on mars? U must of gone somewhere with no electricity by the sounds of it?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

      Welcome back, Sirpie.

Played well for an hour v Bolton, then after they scored heads dropped. Doom and gloom ensued!

Then, takeover finalised, Warnock promised money, and we are looking at 4 or 5 'quality' players before window shuts - SWP, Parker, Onouha, etc. being bandied about.

Yesterday was a backs to the wall, die-for-each-other type of win, and now our target this season is Europe.

      .
      Be nice to Minty

          That's funny!

One massive surprise for you though and everything is looking amazing at QPR!
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

            Only at QPR!!!

Thanks Minty. Who's banding those names about?

How are we looking defensively? Pre-season Gabbidon was a liability and just seen a report which said that he was immense and that Connolly played left back.

This board has been doom and gloom all summer and I go away for just over a week and we get taken over and beat Everton - I bet this board has been amazing!

              Loving see us above Arsenal!!

Mainly the press, but there does seem to be an element of seriousness about those names. Fernandes means business, by the sound of it.

silvercue is spot on, your other half sounds far to demanding.

This board is in euphoric mood, we love the club, love warnock, love the new owners love each other even (except Daves View who belatedly got banned). Won't last of course but its amazing while it does. Real confidence now that Warno might be given the funds to make a real go of it. Most optimistic I've been since the first take over, but this time think it could be more sustainable. Fernandes is either the world's best b*llsh*tter or he is the best owner we have had since John Gregoy - seems intelligent, pragmatic, full of enthusiasm, concerned about the fans and the community... Almost too good to be true.

Hope you had a great holiday.

No she's honestly the best. Lovely treat. Surfing, cream teas and lots of fresh air and relaxation - exactly what I've needed for a very long time!

                            Thanks J.

I guess only time will tell. Remember when FB came in and we had a flurry of signings and they were seen as the best thing since slice bread then the prices rocketed, the badge change, the sacking of Shelia and a whole lot more and we quickly realised we'd been had. Lets hope for the flurry of (good) signings and none of the rest. Communication will be key for keeping alll on board and all fully aware of what is happening.

Indeed. The good thing is working with Amit he has obviously been briefed on a lot of what went wrong with the old regime and they appear to see eye to eye.
Hopefully it is not starting off from scratch because there is a lot of shared knowledge on the board. Indeed, much of what they are trying to do is almost the exact opposite strategy of the previous regime - eg building from the bottom up by having an academy and building links with the community rather than focusing everything on corporate hospitality etc. Honestly if you had seen the interviews with him your jaw would be on the ground - everything was just so positive. Might all be brilliant spin but for what it is worth, imho it came across as pretty genuine.
