  • Pay on the day

Despite yesterday being advertsised as all-ticket I actually paid on the day at 2.59pm and got in away section.
Presume Wigan will not even try and pretend game is all-ticket and pay on day will be no problem on Saturday?
More generally, why do clubs persist with claiming games are all-ticket but then back-track on the day..... how many Rs would have made a late dash yesterday had they known they could of got in?

Where did you pay mate as I didn't see anyone behind the turnstiles, just a scanning machine?

A few of my lot would of gone up had they known that.

I got to the ground around 2pm yesterday and there was a chap handing out free tickets for the away end he must of had a good 10-15 tickets to give away I thought we had sold our allocation so dunno where the tickets came from and he sounded like a local......

Portacabin "box office" about 10yds to left of the first away turnstyle.
I had a ticket for the Gwladys stand but got a last-minute urge to go with the Rs fans. I had a go at trying to get in our end but, as you say, it was barcoded so my ticket wouldn't operate the turnstyle and there was nothing turnstyle chappy could do. I asked could I just pay to get in and he directed me to the portacabin to get a ticket. Girl there was happy to flog me a ticket for £30 (actually asked me how many I wanted).

Could be Warnock, as I know on a few occassion lat year he went around the squad and got all the spare free tickets they receive and then got someone to hand them out to the fans as they arrived.

          Good touch
