  • SWP wages.

QPR are ready to pay Manchester City £2m for winger Shaun Wright-Phillips - and are offering to keep him on his City salary of around £55,000 per week to see off rivals Bolton, Stoke and Wigan.

To be honest 55k a wk in wages is quite a large amount but 2m transfer fee is very good value. I rate him highly and he would give us much needed pace. I'd be delighted if this comes off but just can't see us paying that kind of wage
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I would love SWP at the club, punching well above our weight if we sign players like him. But how would the squad feel espesh Adel when SWP would be earning more then double then him?

I'm a big Adel fan and I think we would get more out of him if he had better players to link up with but SWP's is an england international that has proven his ability playing in the premier for big clubs like chelsea and man city. Adel has a very important 6 months ahead of him where he needs to concentrate on his own game. If he shows real quality he can then either get his dream move to PSG or knock on the door asking for a deserved pay rise. 55k is the going rate for real quality.

SWP would be a great signing, after last weeks game i now realise that we must get players of this type or we will be battered week in week out.

look at todays roster we are up against

          Jagielka
          Baines
          Felaini
          Arteta
          Cahill
          Neville
          rodwell
          Saha
          Beckford

          cold sweat!!

and these nine players alone could beat our 11 and thats without a goalkeeper

Didn't Ian Wright have some sort of argument with QPR fans on a visit a few years back? Can't remember the details but think he didn't like us after that. Hope that's passed.

Yes - he was given some stick when at LR one day and apparantly a racist comment was made to him. Was a bit of a kerfuffle.

Blimey if he let's that decide things for him he really needs to sort his life out... Can he not think or make decisions for himself now he's all grown up and all, without asking for Daddy's approval....

In normal-land I 'd agree. But if it was a racist comment directed at him, his brother or his dad, he may have second thoughts on joining. Either way, I'm sure Ian Wright will offer advice to him - whether he wants it or not.

Fair comment if it was a racist remark, however, even Ian Wright would know that there are a tiny minority of idiots at all grounds and that it was probably an isolated incident, and not one that should dictate his son's future.

It would be different if going somewhwre where the whole culture seems out of date, ala Spain or Russia, but to any English club.... can't see it becomming a major factor.

Mr Wright jumped up and down and celebrated tad over the top whilst sitting in the SA stand after his boy had scored against us.To be fair ,although racist comment unneeded he was lucky not to get sparked out.hence he did not re appear for he second half
