He was never the best player in the league that's for sure. I think the fact West Ham were soooo bad generally, that it highlighted his "good" performances more, to the point where everyone said he's carrying them and amazing etc.... Well, if he's that brilliant, they shouldn't of gone down.

Gerrard has carried a team for years by making them achieve things against the odds with average players in most areas, Parker helped them claim a few points here and there they would've otherwise lost, nothing more.

That said, he is still a very good player, but i think they are deluded to think big money will come from a top club. Spurs buy young so they have the option to sell on in a few yrs, and won't need if they get Diarra Arsene Wanger buys young, UTD, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City don't need him..... That leaves mid table teams who aren't as desperate as us.

I doubt he will come, but to be honest, if we up the bid, i don't think they'll be as many options as West Ham fans seem to think....

I have you about right with £6m. They have a ready made replacement for less in Nolan who will definitely score more goals than Parker ever would, so you could argue he's a better player.... ooh controversy.

According to the express, we have upped our bid to 5m, the deal for puncheon will be wrapped up on monday for 1m and they also hope to tie up a 3m deal for ohorou or whatever his name was. Also mentions 2m for SWP.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
