Used to play at Manure. I think he was one of those they kept loaning out to Belgium, then he went on loan to Newcastle before they bought him perminantly. Good, pacey player.

Cheers Benny, remember him now. Been so focused on the Championship in recent years I've grown rusty on Prem players. Any defender from Newcastle is always a bit of a worry but as you say pacey and talented, so what we need.

I think they have a pretty decent side, but they are just a troubled team.

I personally like Smith. He's a first rate Championship winger, even if a second rate Premiership winger. But I certainly don't see him as a weak link or a priority to replace.

not the stand out sort with lightning pace or anything, but a very clever footballer with a great footballing brain on him. Wouldnt have any qualms about him starting games.

Dont get me wrong he is a good player, however if we bring in someone like SWP I cant see where Smith would fit in and I think he is just lacking in pace for the premier league.
