  • Warnock after the takeover

Under T+C Warnock had nothing to lose,a hiding to nothing if you like, keep us up and he was a HERO,a miracle worker and could walk into another Premier league team, relagated and his reputation would still be in tact as it would have been viewed as mission imposssible and he still would walk into another good job,but now he will have the boards backing and apparently £10 million approx to spend. This in its self puts NW under bigger pressure,NOW most fans and im sure the owners will expect us to stay up,so while Neil must be delighted with yesterdays developements he must also be slightly nervous!Very important so that he picks the right players for us,but a bit unlucky he only has 2 weeks to do this

Not sure he is now "expected" to stay up. Blackpool spent just a shade under £10m last season and still went down. Those clubs that have spent less than us in recent years upon promotion did so on the back of arguably better squads coming into the Prem. £10m is way less than the big boys spend on a reserve left back so yes, while the investment is fantastic, don't think anyone is suddenly expecting Neil to work miracles.

You nailed it with the "2 weeks left" statement

He's been hamstrung all summer and we're now effectively 8 weeks behind where we should've been with supportive owners, calmness and stability.
Should NW keep us up he will be even MORE of a legend.

      IN WARNOCK WE TRUST
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

There is no loan market in the Premier League.

Once the window shuts on he 31st, we are done untill January.

Think we need to be careful about relying on that. This was always Pete's last defence after a disappointing summer transfer window ("we'll spend big in January..."). Even if you do get the cheque book out selling clubs smell your desperation and you can end up spending huge amounts on average players who don't keep you up - and then you are stuck with them in the Championship. Its a very tight window - two weeks - but think its crucial Neil uses his accumen and brings in the right players before this window closes. Plus if you wait till January you have effectively written off half the season and a few more results like Saturday and heads will go down and it will be too late. Need to seize the moment and after yesterday it looks to me as if Fernandez is willing to do so.

Nervous? Are you joking? He must be licking his lips!

He's waited years since what happened with Sheff Utd to get another crack at staying in the Prem. After being told to rely on frees, he did his best. Then someone comes along as says tell us what you want. He must think his numbers have come in!

In the BBC interview I loved when the guy asked who the five players Neil wanted were and Tony said "It was three when we first met and it was four when I came in here!"
A blog of my first season ticket, and QPR's return to the Premiership after 15 years
