On the podcast there seemed to be a feeling that the new badge would be voted out by the fanbase emphatically.This poll at the mo doesn't suggest it's not as universally hated as thought.Comment

Not bothered about the badge really. As we go through the years our club evolves and I would expect come next season or the one after, if we're still in the premiership, Amit & Tony will commission a new badge based on fans choice say of three different designs.
The old badges hold great memories so I would not want to go backwards.
Can't understand the people who say the current badge is a reminder of how T & C fe*ked up our club? Its a badge get over it. We all hated the Thompsons at some point but we didn't call for a new badge. Think about it - would we be where we are now without the T & C years? They promised PL football and they delivered. Can't be all bad. We all had a great time with De Canio etc etc, We all sung that Gi Gi de Canio etc etc song. So people need to move on.
The other thing to bear in mind is, this board only airs the views of a minority of R's fans, and they may not represent the majority view22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!Comment

Yeah realize that and agree,but surely the fans on here are not way out of step as other fans everywhere.Comment

I suspect we represent the views of a fair proportion of what I would class as 'active' fans, but some on here try to Lord it as if they 'are QPR' and what ever they say or decide is what we all think22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. I don't really think this badge reminds me of T&C - it's similar to the Hammersmith crest, and also to our old one from way back. there's history to it, but just designed recently. i don't think it was T&C who say down with the crayola and drew it. If there's one thing we learnt about those two is they would spend big money to make the club "look" attractive - so wouldn't suprise me if they forked out a bit to get it designed by the pros. I personally think it looks good.
The Man U one I think is by far the worse in the league.Comment

I prefer the old badge as it is instantly recognised as QPR. When I wore the new badge I was waiting for my train to London and two West Ham fans passed me and I could see that they could'nt work out who it was ... I later heard one say 'I think he's Reading' ... bloody cheek!
