Fancy Malaysian Airlines to be the sponsor.

He took over Air Asia,a loss making goverment owned airline, and made it a big brand.

Favours for favours and all that.

Maybe he doesn't want to appear desperate therefore push the price down. I assume any deal will be spread over a number of years so need to get it right

I think maybe that's what Tony (oooo, feels good to write his name!) was getting at - since we don't have a sponsor and under the previous administration we seemed desperate, probably weren't getting better deals.

Play it coy and it massively increases your bargaining hand

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Call me an old commercial industry cynic, but I'd prefer £20m over 5 years that Neil can invest in the team!

I'm sure a sponsor is inbound but they are playing it down for some reason.

My take on it, was that the most important thing to address over the next two weeks, this is to support Warnock and get the right players in for the right price.

At the moment we may not get the best price as when he took over we didnt look like we stood a chance of staying up. However after we have spent a couple of quid, have signed a few good quality players this perspective will change allowing him a better negotiating postion to get a better deal. As he already said the premiership is watched all over the world there is no better marketing tool and he will want to maximise this and not take the first offer and panic.

I for once was very happy what he said, as he didnt come across kissing the badge, admitted he is a WH fan but grew up in uxbridge road and does have a soft spot for us.

With him and Amit i am ahppy, ande happy to wait for the right deal as these guys know what there doing.
