TONY Fernandes paid £60million to take control of QPR and will give manager Neil Warnock another £10million to bring in up to five players over the next 12 days.
Future really is starting to look alot brighter, feeling now like I should have done after Leeds game!
It may not be positive because the report is imprecise and incomplete. What has he bought, as QPR has two legal entities but more importantly how has he "bought it" and what as the means for doing so. In other words self financed or a loan placed on the club books which is serviced by QPR and finally who owns the ground and is there still a charge over that at 7.5% p.a.
Lots of questions but will there be precise answers

This. In spades.
Will be very interested to hear how/if/when the Sarita/Amulya loan has or will be repaid, where the stadium fits into to any purchase and whether Fernandes has bought into the Holding company or the football club (or both).
Many many questions but aside from the good local journo's, I just can't see the national journo's attending the presser asking anything pertinent.
Depends on what the deal was and what Bernie's ultimate price was I suppose. AFAIK, FB owned little, if any of QPR Holdings after Crashgate and the FL enquiry (10% at best) but still retained the loan on the stadium. Would be in Briatore's interest to keep the loan on the ground (thought the loan fell into default over the summer?) and retain either the payments on interest and capital or keep within his burgeoning property profile for future disposal. It's a concern.
Hard to know from that whether the Mittels are fully engaged and willing to contribute their share of transfers etc or whether they are simply holding out for a higher price. Ideally I'd like to see Fernandes working in partnership with them.
On transfers I hope we now don't do the Premiership equivalent of what we did immediatey after our first take over and panic buy on lots of average players on overly long contracts. Warno and co now under a lot of pressure to bring in a lot of players in reasonable deals in a v short time frame. Selling clubs are not stupid and will smell the desperation. Will need to play this with a lot of skill.

That works both ways though - selling clubs may have players they are very keen to get off their books (eg before contracts expire etc) and so would be more flexible over price.

FB owned little.
Perhaps but is there a Trust Deed which asigns £###x over from BE to FB on completion of the sale as a consequence of him selling his share.

Thats why I ignore healines, follow the facts and you will follow the money and who really owns the club and extracting revenue from it
Problem is after all this time of being under the ownership of T & C we still have no clue as to exact %'s or ownership of the ground etc.
Will that all change now? Will the press ask the right questions today to determine the facts of the ownership or will we all be guessing again next week / month / year?

True Stanley. I just hope we dont end up with the Premiership equivalent of Patrick Agyman on a 4 and a half year deal weighing us down, particularly if the gamble doesn't pay off and we become like Hull with an unaffordable Bullard back in the Champ.
Dont get me wrong I'm absolutely delighted with the investment and have confidence in Warnock to spend it wisely.
Its just that some of our fans last night went in about ten minutes flat from "we are all doomed, I tell you" to "who is on your wish list? For me it would be Jermaine Defoe, Scott Parker..." Just as people shouldn't have been slitting their wrists before, I now think they should be a little more realistic about what Warno can do with that amount of money in that amount of time at our size of club. That is all...
