It would be madness to swap Dexter for Tyson. Last, i heard Tyson was going to Derby. We have no interest in Earnshaw

definate no to swapping dex for tyson.

dexter has proved over 2/3 seasons he can scores goals in this league. i just dont understand the criticism he gets.

he scored 14 last season - more than double anyone else did. and we are thinking of selling him! :waaaht:

Yeah lets all ignore the real facts! 'After scoring just six in 2007–08'
That was a great season but we can ignore it and pretend he is quality
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

well one of his best friends died, and he also became a new dad. that is a hell of a lot for a young man to cope with. and my god our team was pony at the time, think of the starting line-up against watford at home. awful!!! lol

But you can't put that down to either

                    A) His best mate died (regardless of whether or not you feel it effected him, it clearly did)

                    or..

                    B) It was a bad season. In fact, it was a terrible season for us as a team. Not many performers at all yet Dex seems to be getting singled out.

He scored 14 goals in both seasons eother side of that, yet you're allowed to ignore 'the real facts' by the look of it. If you're going to use 'facts' like that in your argument, then you should look at the other 'facts' as well really, should you not?

Tevez became a dad but didn't stop him scoring.
Ray Jones had so much more ability yes that word ABILITY than dext ever had.
Great feet where as Dext can't even find his!

oooh, spot on again. Mr Boys is on a roll. I make that 2-0 to bennyboys. Wonder how many goals aggy n helguson have scored in past three seasons, but u never bang on about selling them!! oh yeh, i forgot, they do much more for the team, although i fail to see how scoring 14 isnt doing alot for the team.

last season despite all the odds stacked against him dexter still managed to score 14 (in half a season as he didnt really play alot after jan)

sousa tactics were so defensive and even up front on his own he managed to score a bit.

What's becoming a Dad got to do with it?
Dex lost his closest friend in football...big difference.

Again, please look at the 'fact' that he has hit 14 goals in his other two seasons either side of that. One of those (the first) was disrupted by a few injuries and the second (last season) was also disrupted with a few injuries as well as being benched and used as a sub, yet he STILL scored (yes...that thing a striker is paid to do) 14 goals.

Please let me re-itterate...I am not saying Dex is a superb footballer, but he is a goal scorer. Again...goals win games. Wins get you points and points propell us up the league. Pretty vital if we want promotion.

Let's agree to dissagree on this one, but I don't think anyone can argue my valid points hightlighted above, or can they?

BennyBoyRs - do you really think that he will score the goals to get us promoted?

DB is such a basic one dimentional footballer who is majorly outclassed by his team mates. Thanks for your service Dexter. Sell him and bring in a footballer worthy of the number 9 shirt
