I've already asked Nodge whom I'm assuming is putting something together as he says there are plenty of locales. This debate has been raging for years, it would be nice if someone gave the impression they know what they are talking about.
I am genuinely interested, just get frustrated at suggestions without substance.Last edited by W12_Ranger; 16-08-2011, 05:20 PM.

One thing is for sure, for as long as we continue at LR in it's current state, we will not progress. It is far more likely than we will fail to maintain our current status.
Fans won't return, and we won't attract new fans because they want to be proud of their stadium and how it compares with others.
Promising players will also choose Brighton, Bolton, Wigan, Swansea, Derby, etc, because they want to play in 'nice' stadiums for clubs that show ambition.

what do you want?there is LARGE an area of land, next to Uxbridge CC...its next to the A40,not to far way from the tube station at Uxbridge..on google earth,it is also next door to where they have not long built a new athletics track, plus 3G astro football pitches...the only house are located to the north, where the road that comes off the A40 goes down to Uxbridge..the tube line cuts along the south of the land.During the summer, its hosts,i think, the Hillingdon show,as well as a summer football festival.
Afew years ago, there was aplan to build some sort of theme park there, but these plans were blocked.

So if there was plans to build a theme park there, what makes you think a football stadium will get approval?

Sorry to say but there is no way someone would choose Wigan or Bolton over another club becuase they play in a nicer stadium. With all due respect to those areas in comarison to London it's a bit of a no brainer

Also, if you are an 10 year old lad living in north/west london choosing which team to support, then yes, the stadium has an influence.
Players will feel more comfortable opting for a club with obvious ambition to stay in the top flight, and the stadium experience is part of this, it shows commitment. Possibly influnced CMS and Graham, although no evidence.

The teams you mentioned that it has worked for are the ones where they are the only club in the city. It helps.

If you are a 10 year old growing up in North / West London I would suggest firstly it's your family that influences who you support. I don't think a 10 year old in a family of Spurs fans would support Arsenal because they have a nicer stadium. The other way a 10 year old will pick a club if there family aren't massively into football would be by whose doing well at the time, and throuh watching SKY or MOTD, not because of the stadium.
To a point I get what you're saying regarding a club showing ambition, but I don't think it is the be all and end all of a players decision and in fact would be a fair way down the list when a player makes a decision. For what's it worth in my opinion Graham went to Swansea because he knew Rofgers from his time at Watford (I believe Rodgers signed him) CMS i'm not sure about but I can't see someone turning down a shot at the Prem to play in a nicer stadium every other week and forego playing at many better stadiums like Old Trafford, Emirates etc.

This is where I stand regarding a new ground.
I think it would be a good thing 2 increase revenue and they could lower match day prices a tad, however saying that I don't really give a toss as I like where we are. I'm more concerned with the playing staff. At the moment I feel like i'm buying an asda product at waitrose prices, hence why i'll only make a few games and i'll have to settle for watching us on sky sports.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
