  • Long-term planning for our club

Let's hope TF and the Mittels have a long term plan for the club.

If you look at what Man City are doing, not just the players but the infrastructure being put in place.

Man City are going to rule the football world for years to come, and I for one am very happy for them.

If they where just spending on players that would be just throwing money around with no end plan, but the investment in the community and all the other projects planned, I say good luck city!

Yep, agreed. I cant help but like City tbf, good to see anothet side up there challenging for the title.

Cant see them slipping up anytime soon, yes they are hevaily reliant onthere owners and them staying, but I cant see them pulling out, I feel theyre in it for the long haul. and what a cracking side theyve got!!

Might sound like Im getting abit carried away here but I genuinally think in a year or 2 they'll be proper contenders for the Champs League.

If you ask me I would have loved to see them playing in a superleague or whatever with teams like United,Chelsea,Barcelona,Realmadrid etc.etc.
The prem like it´s structured now is MADNESS.

Unlike a few of the other heavily backed clubs, they are investing in the entire club, not just the playing side.

I think they are here to stay.

They have the money to blow hence how they can afford to fix every problem in the club... We quite simply don't have that amount of money

Still think we should follow the Stoke model. Improve year on year in a steady manner. Look at the players they are attracting/signing now that they have established themselves and have stability.

Most of them were our targets.

We could have the combined wealth of Paul Getty, Aristotle Onasis, Bill Gates, and Laksmi Mittal behind us, and we would still be after bargain buys, freebies, has-beens, the flotsom and jetsom of the football world.

                  Why?

Because the sort of wealthy people we attract to QPR, seem to have forgotten that you more often than not, have to speculate in order to accumulate.

We have had billionaires in our boardroom for nigh on four or five years now, not that anybody would have noticed when looking at our squad.

Lakshmi Mittal has £16bn. Sheikh Mansour has £550bn.

If Lakshmi spent anywhere mea the amounts of money that Man City have then he would have lost a lot of his money, Mansour has spent pennies in comparison.

They are having to cover the money spent with lucrative sponsorship deals. We don't even have a sponsor. Technically, you can only spend what you've got hence why City have been "sponsored" £500m by Etihad. How would we cover up our expenditure with no sponsor?

I would rather focus on staying in the league now and building behind the scenes next year or the year after

And Mittal has more than Abramovich, yada, yada, yada.

I've yet to see anybody, ANYBODY, call for the sort of spending on players that we have seen those lucky buggers supporting Man City, and there was a time I never ever thought I'd be saying this, CHELSHYTE, have seen.

But Lord God above, surely we could avoid being outbid by the likes of Swansea, Norwich, and bleedin' Brighton.

Yea he's not able to use that cash for City though, thats like saying AC Milan have access to all of Italys funds (albeit that not alot if you listen to the recent media reports!) as Berlusconi is their owner.

But yea, "Just" the 4billion, winning by a nose lol that sort of money is ludicrous, after a couple of billiob surely it just becomes limitless doesnt it? If only I knew eh... *sigh*!
