It's not too late, but this is QPR.

I hope the reason Warnock hasnt walked is because of this on the horizon all summer and not because of the potential pay off if sacked, but in his defence you couldn't Blame after the **** Hes gone through, to want to take a pay day but i think it's more important to him to prove himself in the prem,

If this has been his hope, he will have up his sleeve!

I said we needed to be purchased by aug 1 to be safe!

If done by weds this gives us 2 weeks!

6 wins by Xmas and we have a chance!

    Let's get 1 at Wigan! U rss

"Past the next 5 matches how many points do you think are realistic up to xmas?"

IMO, we'll have 19 points by Christmas.

i am a real pessimist regarding rangers at the best of times so if we get more than ten points by xmas i will be suprised.

But if we go down! We have a chance of having our club back, I also think Warnock and Amit work well - this is hopefull

Purely guesswork obv or id be a rich man, but looking at fixtures I'll go with the following:

              3 pts Wigan away
              1 pt Newcastle home
              1 pt Wolves away
              1 pt Villa home
              3 pts Blackburn home
              3 pts Norwich away
              3 pts WBA home
1 pt Swansea away (OK by Boxing day rather than Christmas day lol)

Plus 3 unexpected points that I'd get slated for saying, ie Spurs away. On paper, yes we will be hammered, but in football theres always games you cannot predict. Just look at the last couple of seasons: Burnley beating Man utd, Blackpool beating Lpool at Anfield. You cant predict such results but Im sure there will be 1 big suprise for us before Christmas.

You have 8pts away by xmas, I'll doubt we'll get that all season.

Its all about opinions, interesting that you have us down for 6pts away at Norwich and Swansea when all we managed there last season was a total of 1pt.

QPR travel very badly traditionally, last season was a one off on the road, trust me.

True but (without opening a whole new can of worms here) I think we have made better additions to our squad. This is (as was my points guess) pending defensive additions being made before transfer window closes (which Im positive of happening). Should we stick with the squad we currently have, Ill have to admit Id be more inclined to agree with you and your points estimate as our defence is absolute sh1te to put it nicely!

Matty - I admire your optimism. I can't share it right now though.

PS - is that a picture of you as your avatar? I am suprised you get into the seats at LR.

Matty I admire your optimism but that is not going to happen.

We have strengthened well under the circumstances, but I'd say Swansea haven't done too badly. My argument is about preparation...we need a whole new back 4 one game into the new season. If and its a big if...we sort this out ASAP, we stand a chance but with each day which passes by erodes at our Premiership survival.

Nothing at QPR happens quickly and I fear by the time we do start making progress it will be to little to late

Fair enough mate I can see why alot of people dont have much optimism, especially after Sat, but Im currently on double dose of happy pills, hense my "8 away points by boxing day" prediction!

And yes mate thats me before I put on a few pounds, im abit camera shy now though so stick with older photos that get my good side.

Nothing is decided by one game out of 38 but a new board will have to act fast and decisively. If we had been prepared in the proper way a few judicious buys and loans might have swung it (Naughton on loan, Bullard on a free, even Puncheon if given time to work with Warno). Given the chaos, lack of preperation and the heaviness of a defeat against a team that hadn't won away since last November I think we will now need a bit more than that. Whether we get it is quite another thing.
