I dont buy that at all - although blowing hot and cold I feel that the Mittals would only want to work with people they can trust and I dont think there is much trust between them and T&C so with Fernandes coming on board its a whole different view!

So you go ahead and dig him out as always guys - I am by no means a fan of his, but you have to be honest and say that he has acted in the right and proper manner in the circumstances.
      There's a first for everything I suppose...

Last year was the time to buy the club and they showed no bottle at a cheaper price. Lets put this bs story to bed because it's far to little to late. The squad we have should of been improved in the summer and it wasn't. We will have to write this season off, and that pains me to say.
        Unusually,
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

          Here's my two pennies worth.

Been debating posting this but well, I don't think this betrays any trust or anything so bowlocks to it. I have spoken to GP. Genuinely, what he said. Was that if the new owners want him, in whatever capacity, then he's happy. If they don't, then that is their choice and as long as this is good for QPR then he'll be happy. On a selfish note he said that he's been at QPR through a heck of a lot, he promised we'd never go into administration and we didn't. He has served as a Premier League chairman, if only for a week. If he goes tomorrow and Amit and Tony are running the shop, we are light years better off from when BP and co first took him on. After all that has happened, QPR will be a massive part of his life, and although he has made mistakes along the way, nothing was ever done out of malice or for self worth but him trying to do what was right. Like him or loathe him, we've gone from being unable to pay bills to being in the Premier League. He's done a lot wrong but the end result?? He must have done a lot right. We're in the biggest football league on this planet.

I'd add that he isnt part of any negotiations. And, like him or not, his family are all QPR fans now.

Cant really disagree with anything he said to me. I'd add that he didn't say anything he shouldn't have said and was more concerned about my situ than talking about QPR.

Scott for some reason I've never disliked GP and still think that without him we could well be where Luton are now. And the fact that he loves the club counts for a lot in my book-he genuinely cares about QPR FC and not just himself unlike I suspect our current owners (though I suspect Flav at one time DID care-until he realised how much success costs).

We are better than when he arrived, and he has been useful, but also a liability that could have cost us dear. Genuinely, thank you Gianni, but now is the time to go.

                Cheers Scott!

I know people will probably slate me for this, but I dont dis-like GP at all. I think he has been made a scpaegoat for alot of issues but people on forums such as this. 99% of us (me included) dont know the first thing about the ongoings of boardroom issues, yet somehow a majority of people seem to know enough to make sure GP is blamed on everything negative that happens yes he has not exactly been perfect (could be a hefty understatement there) but taking a look at the bigger picture, ie when he arrived and what he has done for the club, the man deserves alot of credit because, like it or not, without him, theres no doubt in my mind, we would be a club in a similar position to Plymouth.

If he goes, fair enough, thanks for the memories GP!

                  To be completely honest??

After I read the FA report on the Faurlin saga, well, that to me was enough to say.."do you know what?..maybe its time to fall on your sword mate".

I stand by that, but, I will say that, genuinely, I could have seen the board firing Warnock if GP wasnt here. I've never hid my dislike for Flavio and, well, GP has been a good barrier between Neil and the organ grinders.

I will add though, I genuinely like Bernie. Sh*t football club (co) owner, but, he has never lied to us or massively disrespected us.

The one thing that still worries me re any takeover is Flavio owning half our ground. It doesnt matter if he has .5% of shares and no day to day involvement..him owning the turf we play scares the sh*t out of me!

My sentiments exactly, I hope and pray this takeover happens for the good of the club. A fresh start is essential which will hopefully lead to a more enriched and promising future.
                    Mahal kita QPR

                    • I think a big reason everyone dislikes GP is that he has had so many chances after making mistakes. I do not dislike him and appreciate what he has done for the club but i dont feel he should have a job at the club after making BIG mistakes which nearlly cost us our place in the biggest league in the world.

Yes he has done a lot for the club but Lee Cook gave us £250 000 of his own money to keep us afloat for another month, does that mean he should start every week in the premiership?
I think we should thank GP for what he has done and welcome him to the club when he wants to watch a match but we need this club to be run professionly with no mistakes and he cannot do that, a fresh board with new chairman will be best for QPR, hopefully with the Mittels heavily involved.

This is probably the most realistic post on the subject matter in my view....unfortunately.

Tis a good post 84! I think youre probably bang on tbf. Summarised: appreciate what hes done, can be a liability (ie Faurlin saga), tell him thanks for everything cut all formal ties with him with no bad blood and tell him hes always welcome back as a fan.

As a club I think we do need to move on with a clean slate as soon as (if) this takeover is announced.

Scott - One minute you post how you're trying to scrap together funds to feed yourself as your worried about where your next meal is coming from in some foreign land and yet you've still manage to have a lengthy conversation with GP in which he’s bleed his heart out to you and made QPR a better club that what they were when he took over. Have you stumbled across a large brown envelope full of cash or have you just got your priorities sorted out in which having a lengthy conversation with GP was more important than feeding yourself? Just curious...

I'm not afraid to say that if I would of made half as many dreadful errors and mistakes in my job as GP then I would of been looking for a new job years ago, possibly even a career change! We are a laughing stock in the media and always will be with Tango and him at the club. If new owners do come in then they would be crazy to keep him on in any form of capacity other than just as an advisor for a small period of time. However I doubt if Tony or Amit will need any advising from him as they could afford to employ someone competient. If a takeover happens then we need a new dawn at the club. Just thought you might like my opinion on this topic..
