God there's some positive people on this board! lol I don't think it would of got to this stage of talks if Fernandes was just having a laugh! They've obviously already agreed on price exc.I'd imagine they're ironing out the rest of the details(which there must be a hell of a'lot to discuss!)
IF T/F is paying that sort of monEy for that alleged holding, it strongly suggets that it is underwritten by the Mittals. i can't see him committing that much of his own wealth without it or gearing up (with debt)

I was thinking along the same lines. He simply isn't rich enough alone to take a small club like QPR and their debt and make the competitive in the Premier League.
just on sky news 11-45 am they are negoiting a new take over it will be
55 per cent tony baby and 45 per cent the mittals, and it looks like its definately going through ,the reporter was live at qpr,it seems as though bernie and flavio have lowerrd the price of qpr to accomadatethis deal and sky sports say it seems that this will go ahead
so i imagine the new board of director will give warnock some money to bring in new tallent
SO FANTASTIC NEWS
Lowered the price because after Saturday they now know what their mis-management since the end of last season has led to - pretty much the same result as when they were last mis-managing the club. If there's one good thing coming from Saturday it would be Ecclestone walking off with less cash than he would have if he'd sold the club earlier to someone who was prepared to support the manager
Wouldn't believe the amounts being touted - the owners, and of course journalists, like to exaggerate to make it sound more exciting.
Key questionis are:
Is Mittel behind Bahtia or is this a solo project (Mittel quoted only about a week ago in the FT saying he wanted to sell his shares)?
Is the ground included or will that remain owned by a seperate company under Flavio/ Amit?
Will there be significant funds available because if we are just talking Puncheon and a couple of loans I don't think it will swing it? Saturday showed even the most rose tinted fan that the Prem is a massive step up, and we aren't prepared for it.
But even without answers to those questions I am optimistic on the basis that any likely deal involving Fernandes and Bhatia is likely to be an improvement.
Let's all have a pop at GP time?
He declined a live interview (credit for that as he knows he can't say anything)
He was asked for a quote and simply said the sky is blue unlike the result against Bolton (again fair play because he has learnt some lessons in not talking)
And when asked how his role would be affected or if he would remain involved the quote was very clear - a potential takeover is good news for QPR - my position is irrelevant as the only thing that matters is QPR.
So you go ahead and dig him out as always guys - I am by no means a fan of his, but you have to be honest and say that he has acted in the right and proper manner in the circumstances.
