  • Liam Ridgewell?

We were linked with him in the summer. Any news on him?

He's a QPR fan, he has Premiership experience, is a solid left back and will surely be available given that Brum are skint.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I watched B'ham-Coventry on Saturday (as my son played in a youth cup tournament there, and I couldn't make it to Loftus Rd in time) and Liam Ridgwell was really poor - one of the worst players on the pitch. Based on that single appearance he is not our solution.

My man of the match was the other full back of B'ham: Stephen Carr!

Not doubting this mate, but in hsi years in the PL he has never really looked out of hsi depth and, IMO, has always been a consistant PL performer, just what we need. Wouldnt object to gettng Carr aswell, very experienced head!

To be honest, as unproffessional as it may be, he is probably peed off that Brub have released most of their good players, many for free ala Larsson, to get them off the wage bill, and yet he remains along with a few other decent players in a no hope team with the club in real bother behind the scenes.... i'm sure he wants out big time, along with Johnson.

I doubt it would take £3m to secure him because i expect he's on good money there as i thin khe may have been captiain (?) and they would want to lower the wages.

That said, he's not the best around, but is solid, can play centre or FB i think and also pops up with the odd goal so would be a good signing.
