With all repsect mate, i disagree. With the takeover imminent *cue "once again" comments*, Im confident in NW to get in the players we need. Fernandes interview yesterday was very uplifting I think and has made me, for one, alot more confident in the future.
The Bolton game could have been a blessing in disguise. Kicked us up the backside and made us realise how tough this league is, hopefully pushed T&C out, shown Fernandes that if he dips into his wallet he will 1) become a favourite with the fans, and 2) strengthen our defence, as other than the defence, we look a good footballing side. I think we will score goals this year.
I honestly dont think we will go down this year, despite the disastorous result Sat! Watching the Wigan vs Norwich highlights, they both look poor sides that I feel we should finish above, as well as Swansea and maybe Blackburn.
Only time will tell though eh!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
i sincerley hope so..............but the 'parachute payment' gives us a springboard to get back...............i see them like 'child tax credits for the unemployed'......... what chuffing tax do they pay...........your paid for failure!

One things for sure fella. Fernandes isn't buying us for us to go down after listening to him yesterday.

Exactly mate.
I, for one, think that he is the real deal tbh. I totally understand the people that wont believe it until they see it, I mean after the amount of rumours weve been fed that have failed to materialsie its only natural. But I think he is here for the real thing, being the face for Mittals to put abit of cash in!
According to Fernandes Twitter (apparently, as I dont have Twitter myself), he wants Bertrand, Kebe, Mcanuff, Puncheon and Clyne.... Ambitious!
Personally, not too sure Kebe or McAnuff will cut the PL, but would love Bertrand and Clyne at fullbacks!

Parachute payments are going up actually and lasting longer. I don't personally think that is good for English football at all, so would like them phased out, but it is good for QPR right now, so that is good enough for me.
As for Fernandes - I won't count my chickens....he isn't very rich compared to many football club owners, so he won't be bankrolling us as much as people think...unless it opens the door to the Mittals.

He is to buy in 55% as to be majority shareholder, with the Mittals/Bhatia increaing stake to 45% (so reports say anyway). I think it would encourage the Mittals to splash abit as the majority shareholder will no longer be so dictator-like.

He didnt say that, he said he knew we were in for Puncheon, the other names came from someone tweetering on his account.
I would like the takeover to happen, but i will wait and see as he made it quite clear that the deal had not been done but a descion one way or another will be made this week. And if the Mittals are taking up further shares this will make to purchase even more complicated and with Fav doing the deal if anyone is going to screw us, it will be him (look at the Adel deal).

No, this is a misquote -- it wan't Fernandes,a tweeter called "3 year plan" said Rangers should buy those players -- not Tony. All TF repied was that we were interested in Puncheon and wanted to know more about the others.
Have to set the record straight -- rumours and misquotes have done this club so much damage in the past.

Fair enough, cheers for that!
I do think the proposednew ownership combo will be pretty ambitious though, I am quite optimistic!

Exactly. World of difference. If the takeover happens and we bring in the likes of Puncheon naturally I will cheer them on like crazy, but if Saturday showed us anything (imho) it is that we are a long, long, way short of Premiership quality at the moment and we need several players who are significantly better than what we have, not more of roughly the same level (like we did in getting Gabidon). Early days obviously but even favourites such as Faurlin looked pretty average against Prem opposition on Sat. To stand a realistic chance of staying up we need a few players of the quality of Jenas (not necessarily him, but that sort of level). No one has any idea yet whether the board will back Neil sufficiently to make those kind of signings.
