    Is the wage cap. And believe me I know they are getting paid too much anyway but if ya want premiership quality signings then you have to match the wages of your competitors. Hopefully this new takeover will be able to change this wage limit because like it or lump it, it's all about the money if ya wanna be successful. I don't like it but that don't change it. Will be great to get amit back on the board too. I also think mittal will be happier spending on a venture that won't include T and C. for now I guess we just wait.

    Voluntary wage caps are already coming in, and are here to stay. Better to have a club than no club at all.

      Sorry mate i believe the wage cap is probably the only thing the owners have got right! Wages are ridiculous and if we go back down we go back on a level playing field.

        Before we get to the time when everyone is paying footballers a pittance, can we at least try to match clubs such as Norwich and Swansea?

        I know it would be utter madness to try and emulate Manchester City, but likewise, it is utter madness being priced out of the market for a player by the likes of those two that got promoted behind us.

          sorr mate, cant agree..would you say no if your boss offered you a pay rise to keep doing the same?

          Its a job...the best get paid more...thats all....

            But now employers around the country are saying, take a pay cut to keep doing the same, football will be no exception. Is there no recession in oz yet?

              Of course there is mate...but the best...still get paid a load more than the others...

              thats life mate....not saying it s correct though; just a fact.

              I get paid well...but i have to do more..thats the way it goes IMO

              I understand everyones plight, but i dont think it will change....not with the amount of money sky have invested..and it will get worse..i promise you that !!
