  • Seats in the Upper Loft?

We obviously had brand new seats in the Upper Loft. Not sure why we needed it, but hey! Would rather the money have gone for a new full back!

Anyway, I've sat in the same seat in the Upper Loft for over 20 years. I think it would have been nice if season ticket holders could have kept their seat. No doubt they were just lobbed into a skip.

I'm sure many fans could have donated some money to the club's charity for it for example.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Not a bad shout. Things like that would be a nice touch by the club and it leads to the club and fans coming together.

One of my suggestions was that the club in the lst programme of last season printed the names of supporters and the away games they had attended. Would have been a nice momento of a historical season and easy to do.

It would have been a good idea mate and I would have paid to have kept mine

Still no idea why they have replaced the seats anyway as there was nothing wrong with them in the first place but in JU they have even managed to squeeze in a couple of extra ones

The Loft was no different to last season to be honest apart from the flooding in the khazis and the stench of **** so obviously there were issues with the plumbing

There seemed to be a few more staff in the Blue and White bar before the game and unbelievably I even saw one of them smile,no honestly I did

it's a good idea, but the club just wouldn't have thought of it and to be fair I wouldn't have thought of it either.

Maybe you are just a visionary kind of guy?

Whilst these 2 clown are in charge I expect absolutely nothing from them that will either benefit or be a nice touch for the fans.

Where would you put the seat then, considering they have no legs on them? Mind you, there could be a business opportunity of casting lumps of concrete in people's front rooms, right in front of the tv, to fix them to.

Arsenal supporting mate of mine has 4 seats from the old Highbury in his back garden that he attatched to something.

Looks smart & is a real piece of history. Hammersmith's idea was a good one but as I say why would they want to do anything good for the fans?

Mine would take pride of place in my house!

I know some Gooners as well who have stuff from Highbury.

But yeah, Rangers wouldn't do anything for the fans.

Trouble is they don't regard us as 'fans' - more like a cash cow made up of soulless punters. Humanity is an alien concept in their cold hard business world.
