  • Upgrading u16 tickets

My 12 year old son is away on holiday, he stays with his grandparents every August. I always upgrade his ticket to an adult and my dad comes along. We sit in block S ellerslie Road (gold). It has always been a tenner to upgrade, phoned up today to organise it...it now costs £40.50 on top of the £259 I've already paid. I knew it would go up but....

£40.50 to upgrade? That's scandalous, when you think it used to be a tenner!!
I regularly upgraded Josie's for a colleague of mine when she was at college midweek and couldn't make a match, but I don't think that will happen again.

Is the price you are asking to be paid, the difference between a 12 year olds ticket and an adult one??

I've stupidly paid it this time...I won't again. If I get pulled up I can tell them the exact figure I paid and the box office applied to the season ticket card. I just think £54.50 is taking the p*ss, when all your trying to do is not leave a paid for seat empty. I think £20 on top of the 19.50 already paid would be OTT, but understandable considering their charging £50 for walk ups. They should just work it out to what an adult season ticket is per game. The box office worker was surprised, and said he was sorry as he was aware what it used to cost. I told him, its only flabio that should be sorry. He chuckled, and said 'no comment' !

The exact difference is £28, so even though I know its too much, its fair ad that's what any other adult ST pays

does this mean you can downgrade to get money back, my old man is away so I'm bringing a mate under 21?
                      very much doubt it

Just under £40 per game I think.

Know of various kids tickets that get used by adults at games, never once have I seen someone pulled for it. If they did, just bung them a tenner, doubles their wages for them.
