  • Mail Article..Regarding Fernandes Potential Takeover

New article in the Mail online re proposed takeover by TF.

    TF takeover article

Wasn't even going to bother posting this because we've all heard it 100 times before. Only thing with this one is the article is written by Sami Mokbel, and wasn't he the journo who was "embedded" with us in Italy? He seems to have the inside track.

I have read that Fernandez is worth 400 million pounds and if Bernie and Flabbio want 100 million for their share surely he's not going to spend 25% of his money on buying QPR!

    Is he in a consortium?
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

So he will then be worth £300 million and part own a Premier League football club.

      Not bad eh?

I know, poor *******! Might even have to sell his private jet at this rate, what with fuel prices and all.

And imagine how he must worry about his next mortgage payment?

AFAIK there is another backer but not the Mittals. Remember Fernandes is still finding his way around the world of F1 (far more profitable) and will not want to do anything to risk his burgeoning relationship with Ecclestone.

If he borrows / finances the money then surely he becomes worth £500m....as long as he can service the debt.

Just have a feeling, Tony has more financial pull than is documented.
He seems to be heavily in bed with the elite politicians that run Malaysia and looks like he has just got his hands on 20% of the national Malaysian Airline in a share swop for 10% of Air Asia.
Remember he paid only $1 for his airline.
These deals are only possible in a country like Malaysia, if you have some seriously powerful allies at the very top.

He invests 10 mill on players, we stay up because of it, he earns a healthy profit on future TV money from premiership football.
                Sounds good to me.

well only £1.25 million spent so far so obviously the hope will be that our new owner will give NW money to spend, even a small amount of £5 million might be enough to keep us up

Doesn't really matter if he's worth £400m pounds of 10 billion.. If he was worth 50 quid he would still be a better owner than T&C!!

Jokes aside, I think he's the right man. He might be able to get the Mittals back onboard.

maybe this is why the new kit is only available to view in sats programme and not on the offy beforehand - it will be unleashed on us with Air Asia emblazened across it Here's hoping!!!!
