  • Premier league statement

The Premier League and Football League are saddened by the recent incidents of civil unrest and the effect it is having on local communities.

We are in on-going discussions with our London-based Clubs, the Metropolitan Police and statutory authorities in regard to the staging of the coming weekend's fixtures in the capital.

I may be speaking too soon, but I understand there's no sign of trouble this evening...

Been watching Sky News for ages and tonight there isn't much kicking off in London, it seems to all be up north in Manchester, Wolverhampton and Birmingham now.

Enfield looks geared up to fight the rioters. About a 200 strong vigilante mob in Enfield patrolling to get rid of the ****. Very proud of them. They were on Sky News, also check the facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-da...47405891947111

Not sure why the Premier League statement only covered London. It was quite clearly going to spread all day, so to say they thought it would only affect the London based games is a little naive especially when Bristol had already postponed their game tonight ?
Makes me sick all this though, unbelievable and disgusting what is going on.
