  • Gorks?

Hasn't been involved much in pre season. Wasn't involved at all at Luton. Does Warnock want rid of him?

I would imagine a lot of big clubs in the Championship would want him. He was part of the best defence in the land last season.

Find it very surprising Hall is ahead of him in the centre back queue.

Has very rarely let us down and has been a good servant to QPR.

Wouldn't be surprised if he goes before transfer deadline day.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Really hope he doesn't go, rate him well and although I didn't think he'd start this season, with only adding Gabbidon to the back four, he should definately be fighting for a start.

It's hard not to rate Him if it's between Him and one size

Gorrks being Let go, Connolly cant get a start ..
MAybe Sir Neil is trying to tell you something Hammersmith, something we've all known for a while.

Gorrks been a fantastic servant, I like him a lot, but will get murdered in the prem along with 26 bounce.

Maybe true, but until better defenders are signed, he will be needed. If his pre-season trial is anything to go by, Perone will not be an improvement on Gorkss.

I'd rather keep Gorkss, unless Warnock has a plan to sign someone with a better fitness record than Gabbnidon and Hall and has more ability than Perone.

We all know that Hall is injury prone and will soon discover that Gabbidon is also likely to get injured. So who will be left?

Hall, has been fit for a while and all pre season. As has Gabbidon. Expect them to start.

I agree. I think they will start. How many games they play in succession will be minimal?

If Hall was good enough he would have been in the side last season ahead of Gorks and Connolly.

I don't want to be paying a player nearly 20k a week who is barely available.

You can have your question marks against Gorks ad Connolly but the record books will always show they were part of the best defence in the country last season. Hall's record at QPR is a joke. I think I read somewhere the other day he has only been involved in 5 clean sheets when he has started.

Get Hall up against a striker with clever movement and the bloke gets shown up to be a total mug. He couldn't get in the side in the Championship. He's hardly gonna do better in the Prem, is he?

Are we still interested (if we ever were) in Upson or is that dead?

Dont think we ever were mate, just people on here mentioning players they'd like to see us in for. Might be wrong though.

That will apply to Kasper and Conners as well.

Simply last years defence will not be good enough this year regardless of how well they done.

Last years biggest strength is likely to be this years biggest weakness. I pray I am wrong

There's an echo in here............exactly what people said about us last season - Hill and Orr were to get ripped a new hole each week and our CB's were like statues.......well they turned out to be the best in the league, based purely on statistics so if it's ok with you I will watch what they do, see how they perform and pass judgment in due course

lets have it right, before xmas gorkks and connolly was awesome. it was only after xmas did connolly decide to let the ball bounce 6/7 times before clearing.

gorkks is a good defender who sadly turns as quick as the titanic. his defending for me has never been an issue aside i think the odd time he gets caught ball watching. that said it is amazing how a year on people are talking like hall is our best player.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                        Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

thats a great point mate! i thnik we will suprise alot of people this year. People seem to go by names on paper like "Clint Hill vs Theo Walcott" which, yes, is very unbalanced, but thats not taking into account the team work ethic and morale Neil Warnock has installed in the lads which I think will have a huge part to play next year!

Indeed Matty - I'm not saying any of them are top class and no doubt they will all "get done" by some top class players from time to time - but so will some of the so called better players people want us to sign, that is football at the top table.

I'm still waiting for the weekly roastings that Hill and Orr were going to get last year - and when it didn't happen it was because the opposition didn't have the tasty, quick wingers etc......but wait till next week.......well, last year Dyer and Sinclair for example, were exactly that and they got promoted and they are better than us so why didn't they score against us last year? Reading pretty much the same and The other Welsh lot and......well you get the picture
