Do we deserve to be favourites for the drop?

IMO, Newcastle should be favorites, as they look like they will implode, Everton will have a terrible season and Wigan will run out of luck. I have always thought we would survive the PL with last years team and a few add ons, but our survival will not be down to us having a brilliant team like the last time we were in the PL, but due to other teams misfortunes.

we need a good start. our first 10 games look like the type of games we need to pick points up from... then it gets tough. we need to start well, take points off the not-so-great teams and treat anything we get from the top 4/5/6 as a bonus.
after last year's highs, get ready for some difficult saturdays. but with warnock, we have a chance.

I reckon we'll take a few whoppings, but we've got enough to escape the drop, whatever, its going to be a rollercoaster and the football we've endured these last 15 years lets get behind Neil and the boys and enjoyI must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

I like being favourites for the drop, means we can prove the doubters wrong... We'll have a lot of 1-0 wins and 0-0 draws with Kenny keeping us in a lot of games.

I think Kenny will keep many scorelines reasonably respectable and we won't do as badly as Derby did. But we do deserv to be favourites to go down, because that is what is going to happen, starting with a demoralising home defeat to Bolton. The only good that will come out of this season is that maybe BE & FB will finally sod off! No way will we win more than 9 games max.

Personally, no I dont think so. I think there are 3 or 4 sides that'll be weaker than us over the course of the season (Norwich, Swansea, Blackburn, Wigan). But it's all about opinions and I can see why people might think we will go back down (lack of investment, some ageing players, not much addition to defence). But i think being faves to go down is an advantage to us, that way we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. There's no pressure on us if everybody already expects us to go down and its down to us to prove them wrong.... and we willYou should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
